30 students investigated the importance gold played in Australia’s development. The evening performance of Blood on the Southern Cross, a day living and breathing life on the gold fields in the 1850’s and 60’s at Sovereign Hill. During the visit to the Art Gallery students re-enacted, in period costume, the trial of miners accused of murders on the goldfields.

Students stayed in cabins for 2 nights at the Big 4 Windmill caravan park. Emphasis was placed upon keeping cabins neat, clean and tidy, working in groups and independently. Volunteer parents & staff accompanied students on the camp.
