At Mount Dandenong Primary School our social/emotional learning curriculum is implemented through the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) program.
The RRRR curriculum is an evidence-based, whole school approach that aims to develop personal and social capabilities including; self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social management.
Respectful Relationships is a wide-ranging initiative to help students deal with a range of challenges they may face and covers topics including:
• Emotional Literacy
• Personal Strengths
• Positive Coping
• Stress Management
• Gender & Identity
• Positive Gender Relationships
Respectful Relationships is a core component of the Victorian Curriculum and was introduced to all schools to change attitudes and prevent the prevalence of family violence in future generations. Respectful Relationships is underpinned by evidence that shows schools can play a key role in preventing family violence by helping students develop an understanding of healthy relationships and respect. All resources are evidence-based and age appropriate.
