5 Cents Friday

A HUGE congratulations to each and every student for the fantastic effort gone into raising funds for Stage One of our Grounds Beautification Pro-ject. Our halfway tally on our 5c Fridays is:

$430 or 8,600 x 5c coins!

3/4A are out in front with a total of $96.45, with 1/2C following closely behind on $74.90. All other classes are only within a few dollars and sometimes cents of each other, so KEEP COLLECTING and boost your class’s chance of getting a free bbq lunch and adopting our ring-tailed possum toy.

We now have a ring-tailed possum fundraising thermometer up in the office foyer. The tail is filling up in colour as our funds are raised, so make sure you check it out and see how we’re going.

We’ll keep collecting 5c coins for several weeks so raid those coin jars, when out shopping ask for your change to be made out in 5c pieces and look under the couch cushions – every bit helps!

Art show

Art Show 2016

Calling all Families, Friends and Community members.

Our annual Art Show will be on Thursday 3rd November from 6pm – 8:00pm and Friday 4 th November from 9am – 1:30pm in the multi-purpose room.

All the artwork exhibited at the show has been created by the students working with parents and friends from our school. This year we welcome the children from Mount Dandenong Pre School who will be exhibiting their artwork.

Enjoy the music and finger food while viewing the variety of amazing artworks on display. All artwork will be for sale with the buyer nominating the price.

This year we have some fun Art competitions to enter and a raffle with several hampers to be won (raffle tickets will be sent home with your child in the next few weeks). We invite all students, parents, family and friends of our school community to our Art Show. We look forward to seeing you.

The planning for this year’s Art Show on Thursday 3rd November is moving along at a rapid pace.

This year we are asking parents if they can donate a “shopping trolley” item to add to the raffles which are drawn after the Art Show. The raffle prizes are typically items like pencils, paints, brushes, felt pens, canvases, craft goods or any other art related item you can come up with.

These could be purchased from the supermarket, a $2 shop or an art supply shop. Any donations will be appreciated, as a little from everyone means a lot when combined. Please leave your donations in the box at the office.

Thank you for your support.
